WINTERLICIOUS – Time’s a Tickin’

WHAT IS WINTERLICIOUS?

We are well into Toronto’s annual Winterlicious culinary festival, which takes place from January 31st – February 13th. It is the much anticipated event for foodies in the city, as it gives you the opportunity to discover a vast array of cuisine in local, none chain restaurants. The first Winterlicious took place in 2003 with with the participation of just 35 restaurants. This year Winterlicious sees 210 restaurants involved in the event, which originally began as a way to boost the restaurant trade at a slow time of year.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The restaurants that are chosen to take part in Winterlicious offer a promotional three-course prix fixe meals for lunch (priced at $15 – $25) and dinner (priced at $25 – $45). Winterlicious is a great chance to visit that spot you’ve been meaning to get to but have never got round to it. Now is the time to take advantage of the delicious delicacies Toronto has to offer and you’ve only got a few days left, so get to it!
