Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is North America’s largest documentary festival. It is held annually in downtown Toronto and this year it is taking place from 24th April – 4th May. The festival shows over 180 documentaries at numerous downtown venues and it’s not to be missed!
I worked on the festival last year and was required to pick up directors and talent from the airport and tell them what’s what. I managed to nab a media pass this year from a much loved friend, so am going to make the most of it today. I’m hoping to see the documentary on Blur titled ‘No Distance Left to Run’ and ‘Everyday Rebellion’ about none violent and creative political activism.
Last year I met some really interesting people and also used my downtime productively to look for the likes of Ryan Gosling and James Franco (Franco was at the festival).
