It is with heavy hearts that we reluctantly say goodbye to summer. On the plus side, it means that this season’s Vintage Crawl Toronto (VCTO) is upon us once again and it has a way of making us feel better about the impending winter months.
What is VCTO?
VCTO is a bi-yearly event held each spring and fall. This fall it will take place on October 9th (7pm – 12am ) and it is basically great news for anyone who loves to shop vintage. With over 40 venues taking part throughout Kensington, Parkdale, Ossington, Dufferin Grove and Trinity Bellwoods, the event is set to be bigger and better than ever before!
The event was founded by Odessa Paloma Parker back in 2012 as a way to promote independent retailers – and also because she loves vintage clothing.
Why bother going?
Participating venues such as the Kind Exchange located at 611 Queen Street West will be offering sales and art shows accompanied by free beer and wine, so what’s not to like. It’s a great way to explore Toronto’s many vibrant neighbourhoods after dark whilst finding a bargain or two.
